Time for a Challenge

Lets Talk 21 Day Fix or 21 Day Fix Extreme. Who has it ? Are you ready to put it to good use ?
If you have the 21 Day Fix or Extreme and you are ready to FALL Back into fitness especially once the school year gets on a roll. Lets Talk !!

* anyone who has the workout regardless of who your coach is or if you got if from a coach may join this challenge !!! I encourage you to invite a friend to help hold you accountable. If you do not have the 21 day Fix but want to get in on this group, simply message me for details.


Cross Country is in Full Swing !!! and therefore I am even more obsessed with running then usual !! how can that be haha :)

Tuesday Thoughts

Woke up Early to do my 21 Day Fix Extreme Workouts, I rocked out Plyo and Upper Fix this morning before getting ready for work !!! FEELING Accomplished to take on the day !!! As we get going with Cross Country season it becomes key for me to focus on my workouts and nutrition otherwise I get frustrated. I feel like I missed my workout or feel overwhelmed and eat bad stuff and then feel guilty which is not a good place for me to be. I really need to be a healthy example especially for the female runners on the team. High school girls (runners) can feel pressure to stay thin so that they can be fast, but they really should be focused on staying strong and healthy.

Monday Mayhem

What a Day !!! Cross Country is starting and of course it would be one of the hottest days of the summer. Yikes.. 

Today's workouts 
6-8: 800's on the trails - I only got in 2 b/c I had to leave early and we had a Student with IT band issues

Beach Workout at Riley street beach - Walking, Running, Water, Sand.. :) 

Oh... Check out my Post about Cross Country Camp this past weekend we had a great time

The August Challenge group also started today, Many people in the group are doing the 21 Day Fix or The 21 Day Fix Extreme.. I am doing the Extreme Version. I didn't have much time over the weekend to prepare for a great week 1 but I am going to do my best. I sent the husband out to get a few groceries so that will help :) I cant wait to see how Awesome this group of challengers does !!!

Clean Eating Treat


  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp sweetener Stevia (optional)
  • 1 scoop Chocolate Shakeology
  • dash of salt
  • 1 egg
  • optional mix in: 1 tsp peanut butter, cocoa powder
  • 2 or 3 tbsp vanilla almond milk (unsweetened)

  1. In a mug mix Shakeology, baking powder, salt, cocoa, and sweetener.
  2. Next, mix in an egg and  2-3 tablespoons of water/milk.
  3. Mix until dry ingredients are wet.
  4. If you’d like to add peanut butter, put one dollop in the center and push it down a bit.
  5. Microwave for 90 sec.
  6. When it is done the edges will pull from the sides.
  7. Enjoy!

Endless Possibilities (Mini Interview with Genna Howard)

Hey Everyone, 

I would like to Introduce you to Genna Howard, I met Genna while on vacation in Hawaii this past winter. Because of Her passion for living a healthy active life we connected right away. She leads Yoga and Pilates classes and lives a very active lifestyle. 

Genna, What Yoga poses would you recommend to help relieve stress? 
and what would you tell someone in one of your class to help them connect to the movements?

Genna Howard Mahalo Nui Loa Melissa Helder-Schrotenboer for the opportunity to Share! When it comes to relieving stress and finding that connectedness in yoga, I believe it begins with the Breath. All poses can be stress relieving if gone into with deep breaths and a calm mind, sending those breaths with intention and awareness into the areas of resistance. With every exhale, feeling the tension leaving your body. After connecting to your breath, it's much easier to connect to mindfully moving your body. Staying present in the moment is about creating a peaceful place within yourself and releasing any expectations of your body. We aren't trying to go anywhere in these poses, were simply being exactly where we are, because there is no such thing as a perfect pose! You can spend a lifetime practicing yoga and only brush the surface of endless possibilities. Be forgiving, Be loving, Be you!
